Passover Dinner
Friday, March 27
5:30-9 PM (Doors open at 5 PM)
Children are encouraged to attend with their families.
The Passover was a time for Jewish people to reflect on how God miraculously brought them to freedom from slavery in Egypt. Every portion of this meal was meant to remind them of the different aspects of the wonders God did and it also foreshadowed what Jesus did not just for the Jewish people, but for every nation, tribe and tongue. Be prepared for a special evening of delicious food and meaningful remembrance of the powerful work only God could do!
1. What should I wear to an event like this?
Comfortable attire, with white clothing or at least one item
(for example, a white shirt with black pants).
Men will wear a yarmulke and women will wear a flower hair clip. These will be provided for you and are yours to keep.
2. How long will this event be?
This is a full-length event lasting approximately four hours. We recommend arriving when the doors open at 5 PM, since dinner will start promptly at 5:30 PM.
3. There will also be readings, in which we need volunteers.
We will need three to four adults and four children to read from the Haggadah. Portions will be provided in advance.
